Need Leads? Try These! |

The TRUTH about leads -
No matter if you are a seasoned Networker of a newbie to the industry - this is the truth about leads. A lot of the people who respond to "working at home" ads, fill out a form, and request information, ARE NOT SERIOUS . . . You WILL GET A LOT OF "No's".
So, what can you do to get the best quality lead and spend the least to get it? Two things:
1. Learn how to talk to leads, and
2. Get fresh leads that are
inexpensive and call them.
Developing Leads
Companies that actually develop leads (in contrast to buying leads to resell) have spent a huge amount of time and money on programming, software, servers and all kinds of banner ads to provide an ongoing flow of new people who are looking for a way to create more income.
These leads are then usually sold to several retail end sellers who sell these leads to you. Oh, and I should mention, that most lead companies have a clause in their agreement with you that their leads are "rented" to you for a specific period of time, usually 30 days to 6 months (YOU don't own them). That does not mean you can't continue to use them, it really just lets you know that they will be sold to other buyers too.
As an example - let's say you buy 10 "right now" 24 hour old leads for $5.00 each. They may be exclusively yours for 1 month, or they may come from a company that sells them to several people (usually representing different companies). At the end of a month they may again be sold. This time as 30 day or older leads to as many people who buy them. These type of leads range in price from $2.50 each to $0.10 each. Quite a spread!
For those who are computer literate we have found that buying bulk leads at discount (around $50 per 1,000) provides good results when used in conjunction with a good mailer.
These types of leads are also good to "practice" calling on. DMI Member Mark Dotson dials over 600 numbers a week - connecting with about 130 and sending about 10% of that number to our on-line tools, Mark averages about 11 new associates a month.
The bottom line is this - if you are going to use leads - use them. Don't buy them and then not talk to them.
Call them and treat them with the same respect you would want them to treat you with - this is the best way to build mutual respect.
One last thought - most lead companies provide a bonus program, that is, if you tell someone else about the program and they buy, you get credit for it. While this seems great, it is important to recognize that USANA's policies do not allow for any USANA distributor to make money in conjunction with their USANA business this way. In most cases you will just need to sign up for the lead service and instead of getting your downline to join too - provide them leads and work directly with them.

Lead
Forward, Inc.
generates and distribute fresh leads and business opportunity leads through
an extensive and constantly expanding network of websites and partnerships.
They gather, organize and screen fresh leads. They then share these incredibly
fresh leads with their Members and Affiliates.
While that sounds good - what we have experienced is that YOU need to be the
first person who talks to them. Lead Forward (similar to other companies) sell
these leads to (up to) eight other Networkers (in other companies) at the same
time that you receive them. Even when we called these prospects back they were
overwhelmed with the amount of email and calls they received from being placed
on the list.
